Bob's Bronco Barn?

It's a stampede! First one Bronco arrives (Project Buckshot in the center), then two more show up. This may be horse country, and there may be "Equestrian Centers" on either side of us, but I never thought we'd be breeding Broncos here at Midlife Classics. But, they're rugged, simple and we've come to like them.

From left to right, a 1977 Bronco Ranger that is here for a full frame-off restoration, a 1975 Bronco (Buckshot) that was here for disassembly, strip, body repair and paint, and finally a 1974 Bronco that was recently acquired by a client at a Mecum auction and is here for us to "take it to the next level of restoration".

The odd thing is that Midlife Classics was initially envisioned as a classic CAR restoration facility. Of course, the owner's migration from Los Angeles to Dallas led to selling off the Infinity FX cross-over SUV in favor of a Ford F250 Crew-Cab Super-Duty diesel pickup truck. The Infinity was just too much of a handful on the rough rurual roads out here, and the business demanded a capable truck for hauling and towing. Never did Bob think that he'd fall in love with pickups. After all, he's a sports/pony/muscle CAR kind of guy. Well, the arrival of this herd of Broncos may not lead to a new love of 4-wheeling, but maybe we'll find us a nice truck or two to restore someday.

Project Buckshot may be gone now, but the other two are still here. The '74 ("Big Red") has become a much bigger job than originally anticipated, so we've created a project page to keep the owner (and everyone else) informed. We're just getting started on the '77 "Swamp Thing", so keep an eye out for progress on its restoration.
