Cutlass Supreme Convertible

Return To Service

Client Project

This gorgeous Cutlass Convertible just arrived from California. Its new owner asked for our help in selecting just the right car and boy did he get a great one. It looks, runs and drives great. It appears to have had some restoration work done in the past (paint and engine compartment detailing), but no major mechanical work. The body is straight as an arrow and there is no rust whatsoever.

Midlife Classics has been asked to ensure long-term safety and reliability for this Cutlass' new ower. So, we will be doing a complete suspension rebuild, replacing the water pump and all rubber lines/hoses. The timing cover has a leak, so repairing that leak will lend an opportunity to inspect the timing chain and gears for potential replacement. The engine shows good compression for its age and mileage (120K miles), so no serious engine work is anticipated. The new owner also has numerous minor cosmetic items in mind, but that will follow the initial scope of work - which is to make it safe and reliable.
